07 Clio Rear Diffuser- Help please

  Clio 172 Replica Ph2
Hi All,
One of my mates owns a 2007 Clio 1.2, (first car) He was wondering if its possible to have a 197/200 style rear diffuser fitted, for image purposes, will he need to get the 197 rear bumper first or is there one that he can put onto the existing bumper. :S

Cheers in advance

Tom

only mods/admin can move threads. But yes you should just be able to buy a 197 rear bumper and diffuser and bolt it on a standard Clio III

as far as I was aware the 197/200 had a wider arse (rear quarters) or something so it wouldn't fit. tell him to save his pennies and buy a 197 when he can afford it. no point modifying a 1.2 that no one will want as it will look "chavvy"

This is correct the rear quaters are wider and as far as am aware its a big jobby changing them as there welded in place. Plus it would look stupid having a fat rear end with out a front end to match. If hes gonna do it he'll have to change the lot to make a decent job of it and that means changing Rear quaters, Rear bumper, Side skirts, Front wings, and Front bumper.
