1.2 16V and the hot weather....

Is anoyone else's 1.2 16V runniong like a sack of poo in this hot weather, mine ticks over very lumpily at the mo and seems to have a bit of a flat spot on pull away, the only mods it has is a K&N panel filter, anyone else having grief or is it just me....

It runs great in the cold though....

I know my fan comes on most times after a 20min journey! Its pissing me off but cooling the engine down so cant complain!

Mines not too bad at the moment, was a bit shite on Saturday but was 2 up with a full tank of fuel.

How hi does your temp go . My one gets to about a quater to the red befot the fan kicks in and drops it to normal ???

mines fine think it runs better when its warmer , everything seems to get up to temp alot faster so car sounds better

i have 1.2 ph1. It has over last few days starting giving me s**t when i start up, it has never had a previous problem but over last few days when its been left parked up for various amounts of time it wont start, well takes a few tries. WTF. Also i saw a thread on here not to long ago about a noise when u slow down etc of water or liquid sloshing around sure its not petrol.????

I have an '02 plate 172 and mine seems to be running a bit lumpy, keep getting paranoid about booting it too!

My 1.6 seems to be fine in this weather, although the fan does cut in when the temp outside hits 34 and above, but the cars temp gauge stays right in the middle once warmed up (gets there quite quickly in this heat) and never goes above it.

i was begining to think it was it was all in my mind but we had a big thunder storm this morning which cleared the air and it was quite a cool day.

the engine felt so much better and that was with a now fullish tank. maybe it was all in my head, who knows.
