1.2 16v to 172 conversion fuel problem

hello, i'm new to clio sport and seeing as this is my first post it might seem to be a bit out of place posting such a question but i'm currently in the process of doing a 1.2 16v to 172 conversion ( both mk2), the engine is in everything connected up ( i think ) but then i realised my fuel pump isnt turning on? i've been reading through other posts and it seems to all come back to a fuel relay switch, i stand corrected on this though! i'm just wondering if anyone has any information that might be of use as to why it isnt turning on it might be something simple i hope! many thanks

I think the issue could be immobiliser related.

all the lights on the dash turn on and it turns over etc or is this irrelevant? :S

the what i think is the fuel relay switch is getting 6 volts? when i take this relay out should the "buzz" from the throttle body stop aswell? another point i'd like to make is that the fuel relay and pump were working fine with no issues whatsoever before i started the conversion, thanks

surly an easy fix to find the issue is to run 12V direct to the pump?
