1.2 Clio project

  Clio 1.2/182cup
Recently bought my first car: 2005 Clio 1.2 16V

Started a few mods: 172 wheels and interior led, 172 air bag trim and key little trim.

But would like some more little ideas as I'm 17 so insurance is high even without suspension changes will be doing suspension eventually.
Ideas for any new mods or changes?? Recent updates will happen

I believe a common thing to do is fit the sport interior.

After that I'd stop, unless you want to upgrade the speakers and stereo.

If you're interested in working on the car yourself then keep on top of servicing it for starters.

Once you've learnt to drive (passing your test just means you can start to learn properly), and insurance has come down, then look at getting something a bit faster.

As daz said dont go mad on modding. My mate "back int day" fitted 172 body kit and interior to his 1.2 but that said he got it all for 150 quid. Looks a sound motor but save for a 1*2 and keep your spend on it to a minimum ive found out the hard way in the past Pic is of my mates 1.2

The best mods are updating/replacing mods.

What I mean by this is, take off parts, rub themm down give them a lick of paint and refit.

Obviously don't go mad, but as it's your first car it's better to break cheap parts now whilst learning how things come apart, than it is expensive parts later.

Good luck with it mate

Seat backs unzipped and mdf panel slightly larger than the amp. Marked out the wood to show where metal frame of seat back is.

Holes drilled for cable ties and wire exit points drille and mounting board secured to seat back with cable ties.

Wiring all in place and cover re-zipped. These will obviously run to the front of the car and won't be visible!

Wires and power all terminated and attached to amp.
