1.2 to 172 seat swap plugs help

I'm in the process of putting a 172 interior into my 1.2. We've got the passenger seat out and went to unplug the plugs but they seem to be different to the plugs in the 172 seat.

These are the 2 plugs on the 172 seat

This pic shows the plugs under my 1.2 seat

The black plug is there but there is no grey plug, it looks like it's been cut out and re joined. Is it just a case of putting a new grey plug onto the wires?

All sorted now, but now the serv and airbag lights are on?

Have you connected the cables the right way round? my service lights went off as soon as i rejoined the cables

I have the same problem as I done the 1.2 interior to the sport interior and "apparently" its due to our old seats not having side airbags so the wiring needs resistors in the plug or to go on clip. So I have been told. Hope this helps.

Your old seats didnt have bags? were bags just a dyanmique thing then?

Yup, no side airbags in an extreme 3 unfortunately.

Just gone and checked all the plugs. They all seem to be plugged in properly but still have the serv and airbag lights. Any ideas how to get rid of the lights?

The plugs from the sport seats and the plugs in the car don't match up connector wise. A 400ohm resistor is about right iirc, if you've got a spare wire the you can't connect to the bottom of your seat connect the two pieces together with the resistor.

When I did it years back I cut the plug off the end and joined the wires to the resistor but in hindsight it would be better to just push the resistor into the plug.

This is completely confusing me lol! On the drivers seat the plugs were exactly the same and just plugged straight in, do I need to do anything else to that side?

The passenger side had 2 bits of the wire taped together and the grey connector missing. Not sure exactly what we did with that one, I didn't do it lol but I'll try and find out.

Mine are the opposite way round to yours.. Top one is my old seats and the bottom are the leathers, how did you solve this?

Ended up cutting the plugs off and soldering the wires together
