1.4 16V turbo

As above, is it possible to turbo a 1.4 16V. If so what mods would have to be made for the engine to be able to handle the extra power? Im no engine fundy so thats why i ask out of curiosity ;)

Thanks in advance

Same as any other engine.

You'll be able to leave the internals standard upto around 6psi (i.e a standard low boost conversion).

High boost conversions (generally 12Psi and above), required forged internal compoenents, around 850 quid plus fitting.

Yes, it can be done. Anything within reason can be done with enough time and money. Only really worthwhile doing if you have the knowledge/skill to do it yourself. If you're paying someone else to do it you'll end up paying a load of cash which won't give you anywhere near the same result as just dropping in a 2 litre or something like that.

have you got any experience with this sort of thing.
Custom manifold, custom downpipe, turbo, oil and water feed and return from the block, Boost piping, FMIC fitting, standalone ECU, new loom...

how much cash have you got to spend on this car?
