L Reg Clio RT, Polo X 2
I am a member of the VW Community and enjoy modding cars and engines .
I understand the basics in engines and fault finding but i am finding it difficult to relate what i know to a clio engine.
My mates LReg 1.4 RT has overheated and steam has come form the radiator .
I know what could of caused this in a polo but I'm not clued up on Clio Engines ..
There is no cream in the head gasket and there isnt any oil in the coolent ..
I would start with a polo looking at the Blue Temp Sensor (The sensor that tells the radiator to turn on when the engine is hot.
Iff my theory is right then im sure it will be a cheapish fix. I just dont know were the temp sensor is found in the 1.4RT engine.
Mate needs to get his car running asap for work commitiments and cant afford to use a garage .
It would be a great help iff you could advise me on this topic as im sure alot of you on here will know exactly what could of gone wrong .
Any info would be sweet guys ..
Thanks Steven Davison
