1.4 RT Exhaust help

  Suzuki SV650

My car is stuck in a garage many miles away and it needs a new centre section of an exhaust, now according to the bloke at the garage there are about 4 or 5 different types of centre section for my clio, its a 1991 1.4 RT and it has a stainless Powerflow backbox, and its missing a cat & centre section. Ive got the cat, just need to know what sorta centre section it needs. Is there any way of telling which sort of centre section it needs or am I a bit f00ked? The Powerflow backbox from memory looks the same as the standard backbox except its got a larger silencer, the tailpipe sticks out at the same place and it uses the same hangers/brackets to hold it on.

Any help appreciated,

Steve.

Surely he should be able to tell you that?

ive just had to buy the middle section cos mine hangs down and was well f*cked mines a 96 RT and the bloke at the scrappy told me what to get

Bloody garages dont know sh!t! Saying that, neither do I.... They are reluctant to order a centre section because they arent 100% sure which one will fit, plus the powerflow backbox has a sleeve connection, and the normal Clio centre sections have flanged connectors.. Thou I reckon you could cut the flange off and use a sleeve over the two to fit them together?

Will my car be drive-able with just my cat pipe on? I mean, from the downpipe, JUST the cat, no centre section.. The backbox will be on so it will look like I have a full exhaust system, I just wont... I realise it could fall off so maybe I can tie it up with a bracket or something to stop it bouncing up and down.

How loud will it be and if I get pulled will I get slappings?
