1.4s vs. 106 1.1

I was telling me mate about my 1.4s and he thinks that his 1.1 (which he has got) will beat me in a drag,hes going to do his up to, will it be possible???

well i'm currently bopping about in a 1.4 quicksilver, which has a quoted 75bhp, which i think is the same output as your clio? My car has can match most 1.6 clios up to about 80 due to it being lighter. A freind has a 1.1 106 which is nippy up to 50ish but then it wont compare

1.1 saxo and 106s are nippy but you 1.4 should have him/

1.4s kicks out 75bhp and a 1.1 will be 60bhp max? The 106 will be lighter as well but I doubt he could beat you. What's the point of "doing up a 1.1" tho?!

Saying that when I worked at safeway there was a lad with a very low Saxo 1.1 and he put up a good fight against my 1.4 which was standard back then

I used to have a 1.4RT a while back, and my mates 1.1 106 was exactly the same speed as it, totally nothing in it.

I had a 1.1 Citroen AX once (same car as 106), and I raced a 1.4 Clio. It was pretty neck and neck but I did have the edge on him.

Wouldnt say there maybe much in it my mk1 1.2 8v with decat used to be on par with a mk2 1.2 16v with 75bhp

nothing. you wont get anything from the engine unless spending tons on it. lower it is the best performance modification cos it means you can go round corners faster = a faster car.

I'd like to know what hes gonna do to 'do it up'

My old flatmate had one it took over 4 seconds to Rev to 6k rpm....PMSL. I had a 1.2 and it destroyed it everytime.
