Hi guys I hope I'm posting this in the correct place.
I bought new brake discs and pads for my 1.5 dci, and I opened up the break calipers to accept the new parts, job done.
But the mot mechanic showed me the clutch dripping fluid all over the place, and it was the actuator in the bell housing that has gone pop.
Now, I'm wondering if that was my mistake opening those calipers, as the brakes & clutch share the same master cylinder.
I know it sounds dumb, but, should I have removed the top from the master cylinder first? Or is this just a bit of a coincidence?
Ok, not wanting to repeat this stupidity, is there a cable clutch kit that will replace the hydraulic parts?
