probably do more but i've only just replaced the drive shaft after giving it beef in 1st

i'll have to get it on a rr to see what it's putting out

mine seems very fine, you have no petrol(which isnt gd for the engine) and the ecu is showing a mechanical error

Yeh must say I think mines quicker than that, thought you were using 3rd to start with, mines much quicker through 2nd.

I have had 30mph in ist gear (although it is on a "small slope" lol) and 60mph in second gear just before hitting the limter on a straight.. and mines standard with only around 5k miles.

The 1.6 16v Clio's aren't surposed to be "Sports Cars" and as such aren't really up to the job lol. The only reason I got mine was because from passing my test it was the only car for me (although I did want a 172/182 like most people, but there was a small thing called insurance lol) at that time.

Its not that bad really as I was having a mess about with my mate in his 1.8 16v Vectra on an X reg and I was pulling away abit. Although that was proably because the Clio is lighter than the Vectra.

I mean has DINK got any more weight? i.e. subs, how much fuel was in the car etc.. I don't have anything in the boot.

didnt look to slow for 1.6... im used to seein my Valver needle fly round... ... think the valver limits about 35 40 in first...Get ya self out and get hold of a valver son

i dont think it looks that slow. lol @ the 1.2 that can go as fast as that. like f**k. you 1.2 and 1.6 owners r just tryin to big your clios up making them sound faster than what they are.

If i think wat you are on about they are 137bhp standard had mine on the rolling road and its 134bhp which aint bad.... ive had 139mph on the GPS... and it till had 1k let on the revs... think the gears go 1st 35mph 2nd 55-60mph 3rd 80ish 4th 115mph 5th...never got there... <<<<< dont qwote me on them either i tend to watch the road and the revs wen im bootin it...

I am pretty Happy with mine, doesn't pull too badly at all and can keep up with a lot of cars you wouldn't think it could. I would check yours out though mate.

what are the valvers? a 1.6 or 1.8? they sound good for the money.

Yeah sounds slow:
just tested mine and managed:
31mph in 1st; 58mph in 2nd; 80mph in third
0-60 8.5

yea does sound a bit slow even my 1.6 8 valve seems a bit faster not much though ill have a play later. i got 115 out of mine before.

I've been noticing mine has been acting slower the last couple of weeks as well. It's going in for a 60k service next week tho so hopefully that will sort it out
