just tested my 1.6 8 valve 1st gear 31 mph 2nd gear 56mph and top ive got out before is 115mph althought renault quote like 112mphtop speed

Yea Timmay that sounds good!! Ive just had mine lowered this week, it loves the old B roads now! I had a 1.0 polo before my 1.6 clio, and it does feel pretty nippy compared, nothing on a vts or anything like that though. Great fun having it and being 18 though!

What is it with sport owners?! Not all of them but some are completely deluded.
1stly....there are so many threads about atm about sports vs db9 etc, its ridiculous, and then some numpty pops ups saying, 'in a straight line it might just have you but round the twisties youl have it' what a joke. That sort of comment is just as bad as the idiots who stroll in ripspeed and come back with a sun strip and leds and think there car is the millenium falcon.
2ndly....why when us non sport owners wanna talk about our cars, not biggin them up, just talk about them, some plank like that idiot up there comes in and says sumin like that, because that is really helpful isnt it.
Sorry about the rant. Something has to be said though because its ridiculous, this is a clio website for clio owners not a sport website for only sport owners, does my nut.

duh, speedos read over your actual speed
my speedo has said wot looks like 123mph, on a 1.2 not likely is it,
