1.8 16v knocking at slow speed turning right.

My 1.8 16v makes a mechanical knocking at slow speed turning right. anyone got any ideas? I've been told its either the ball joint or cv joint but have been told it might be more serious i.e where the driveshaft enters the gearbox.

cv joint sounds very very suspect, can you locate where its from?

how loud is it, and roughly where is it coming from

a common one is the exhaust downpipe banging against the dogbone engine/gearbox mount

No cant really locate it but sounds like its from more near the wheel than the gear box. what do you think?
u got a 16v yourself?

check your CV joints then, that none of them have split, sounds like that to me

iv got this same problem on my sport... had it checkd out.... could'nt find the problem anywhere.
