Well its been 1 year since i bought my PH2 172, always planned owning one at some point and i dont regret making my purchase. I've owned a VTR Saxo, Jordan Civic, VTI Civic EK and a Williams 3 all been great cars with their own individual qualities. Anyway onto the 172 .....
January 2011 Standard. 45,000 miles 1 owner FSH.
Purchased the skoda splitter.
Wasn't sitting how I wanted so lowered it on -35mm springs in June 2011
Didn't purchase anything for a while as I put the car into a Renault Specialist to have the belts all done and a service. Oil + filter change.
I also changed the discs and pads all round, the front bottom ball joints needed doing so did them also. Car felt like new after that, what a difference the ball joints made.

Few months went by and i was deciding what to do with the car next? The PH2 172 wheels had to go as i wasn't too keen on the dated cement block style wheels as standard.
Also the rear exhaust hanger gave way and so did the back box, hanger snapped clean off.
New exhaust from Ebay seller £48 inc postage .... WINNER! Sounds really nice too, was very surprised from its deep boom and note when accelerating and driving normal!
Decided on wheels too buy this point. 16" TD Pro Race 1.2 was my choice, wasn't willing to pay the crazy prices for Turini's or 2118's . Met Steven (Cupman29) on this site and he sold me his set, very happy with them .... Thanks Steven
Also made a cheap Ebay purchase on a 70mm 90deg silicon bend and a nice big open cone filter for some deep, loud induction roar. Sounds awsome on cam above 5k rpm.
