1000rpm-2000rpm Whistle then a Whine please help!!!

  PH1 172 Sport
Car is on 75,000. About 1500 miles ago I changed my AUX belt as the idler pulley was making a grinding noise. The previous owner had had the aux and cambelt & pulleys done at 45,000 at a well known clio tuner that is also known not to use the genuine aux belt kit hence no change in tensioner or idler pulley.

Since then the car has been whistling from 1000rpm to 2000rpm which according to another thread on here is down to the alternator bearings??
The car also makes a whiney noise through most of the rev range and then a high pitched whistle again over 6000rpm. I tried to make a couple of videos of this but only one has turned out okish (I never noticed how rattley the sport engine until I tried to record it!!)

Service is due in about 3000 miles (about 2 months for the amount of miles I do).

Any advice would be great as the noise's are really starting to do my head in!! The car goes like a train and isn't down on power in anyway from what i can tell and I'm averaging 36mpg so I would say anything major is wrong yet!!!

I don't know what Fred or Mike may suggest or if anyone has any suggestions or experiance of the above???

Definetly a bearing of some type, couldn't say specifically which one. Would need the aux belt off really the check for play etc to find out most probably.

Well it shouldn't be the idler or tensioner pulley as they are brand new. What other bearings are there on the aux belt? Alternator and Aircon i assume?? anymore?

Will it be ok until the next service and ill just get Rentech to have a look when they service it??

Im gunna hazard a guess at ktec

You wanna rev it while someone listens under the bay really

Yeah but ive replaced the aux kit now anyway so hopefully they made a good job of the cambelt!!!

I listened in the bay while by gf revs the car but i can't pinpoint where its coming from its so enclosed down there the sound could be rebounding off of anything!!

mine does the same, I asked the mechanic at renault about it just after I had my alternator replaced, he said it was normal and that all sports make that noise! I've listened and it sounds like its coming from the aircon pump.
