Well the car hit 100k Miles on my drive home yesterday

Bought it on 12k miles back in May 2006 completely standard

It's been through a few changes but I dont have photos of all the changes but went from standard to Coilovers on standard wheels

Now for a french car it really hasn't had too many issues

New radiator, alternator and a ball joint but other than that no real issues which I don't think is too bad.

Been through 3 Splitters though so have given up and bought a Skoda Splitter but its been under the bed for months unfitted :o

Just thought I'd mark the occasion with a little thread.

Radiator, altenator and a ball joint is just wear and tear tbh. After 100k miles you'd expect that of most car's. Still looks a tidy example, good job on looking after it :)

Oh it's a long way from tidy but now they are worth bugger all it's really not worth me spending all the money getting it tidy again.

I'm sure if I stuck it in a garage and told them to get it all tight again it would cost a small fortune :(

Back to driving 60 miles a day again so the mileaae will be going up at an alarming rate once again.

mines done , 178000k , and former owner says in 3 years all he as done is spark plugs , filters , brake pads and disc. wheel baering and thats its i amazed , coming from a vag background i taught the car would fall to pieces but apart from a balljoint which i need replace it drives beautifully and beat a bmw 330d today :)

Now it's clicked 100k miles I just think I may as well keep the bloody thing.... Will definitely have to give it some tlc in the new year as the miles are starting to show but I'm averaging about 40mpg on the commute so not too bad on fuel.

Cheaper tyres are what draws me to the 15's and it may be in my head but I prefer the drive on 15's

Yeah the 182 allots win for me. Great looking car though normally not a fan of that colour but that's spot on.

Wish I had left it completely standard from the off tbh :(

Car is great out of the box and I ruined it with Magnex exhaust, GAZ Coilovers and a few other s**t bits.

It's not soo bad now just need to adjust the front coilies as now has H&R's up front but I think the collars are seized so just stuck them on and left them to get through an MOT,

New year i will have some more money now I'm back at the parents so can throw a little the Clio's way.

It was a peach when I first got it but I was 20 and wanted it lower and louder :o

your car is looking good on the f1's, cant believe i've never seen it about norwich lol

Back in Halesworth now as just split up with Laura.... Will still be about Norwich though as work there and seeing a girl from Wymondham now.

ah right, sorry to hear that mate, used to see her car alot about norwich lol you'll have to come to one of the cliosport meets, i'm the only clio that goes from norwich now haha

Yeah may come along to one at some point...Used to get to them all but just lost interest in the car for a while plus it's very tatty :(

182 standard wheels or 2118s for me, not a fan of the f1s - they just remind me of cheapo Team Dynamics :(

It's very well loved by a car down the side and a post I didn't see on the front corner of the bumper :(

I have a noisy dephaser pulley and a slight blow from the mani to cat joint but otherwise it still seems a good strong engine.

IF I stay at home for long the miles will build up fairly quickly as averaged around 25k miles a year when I lived her before.

F1's came up local with tyres when i was about to replace the tyres on the tatty 182 wheels so made sense to get them.... 2118's are still my firm favourites although I do like the 182 wheels just prefer 15's.

Cheers all though :D

182 wheels are gone... Didn't have a garage at the house so storage would've been awkward.

I may come to a meet if it falls on a day I'm off.

Another Clio? I think not although I do occasionally check prices on 197's but don't think I'd ever do it.

I need decent fuel economy if I'm to change it, Gonna save hard for a house deposit as I realise that is way more important than flashy cars.

i am up for a meet aswell but i have work on sundays which is when most of the meets occur. Any meet on a saturday or on a week day i would be well up for it to meet the locals :)
