Jesus f**k.

Now, I've become a BIG bmw fan in the last few years, but that vee is truly stunning. I couldn't actually choose between the two if practicality was no issue.

Cracking cars mate, really.

I'm quite tempted by one of these 135i's.

Keep getting letters from my local dealership to say they have one in for extended test drives.

Beautiful cars mate. I'm jealous!!!

I have the b grade of your garage haha.

Very nice. I'm still not sold on the BM looks and the mirrors are weird that colour.

Think it's the rear diffuser that annoys me. All the models have them.

I really have no interest in the new BMW's. I think the styling has gone down the pan.

I love your Vee though, like proper love it.

Cheers guys! I think this shape of 1 series will always split opinions, I was even unsure myself when I ordered it but now I properly like it! It's fresh and modern in my opinion. Chalk and cheese with the Vee though.

Nobody's mentioned the good old trooper in the background, W reg and owned it since new, now on 126000 miles and still drives like new! Lol

Awesome.

Pole positions are the seat choice of hero's too! Love mine.

You wake up fancying a drive. Which one do you take?

if there is rain, puddles, damp, precipitation or general moisture in the air then the Vee doesn't even leave the garage...

On a hot dry day, dunno to be honest...The Vee is awesome..but the BMW does most things twice as well lol

How are you finding the 125d mate? Meant to be properly good!

I was going to ask if you'd tried one to get your comparison!!! Haha.

Obviously its a lovely machine. Its my first diesel but doesn't feel like a diesel at all. In all honesty I love it to pieces. I fall in love with it everytime I look at it / get in it / drive it. It feels like a very special place to sit. I didn't like the looks at first but after the incident of a 135i tailgating the f**k out of me on the M25 I realised how mentally intimidating they look in a rear view mirror. Since then its gone from looking a bit dopey to looking more purposeful in my eyes. It also helps that I have the best colour ;)

The bonnet seems endless as well, I'm s**t at parking it if im honest. Won't parallel park it at the moment. I'm a but too precious I think. Anyway won't muddle up your thread with my ramblings but yes. 1 series love.

Edit; that was a mental ramble. Yes, its all the car I ever wanted from it. Find new things every day.

I was going to by asking if it didn't have an engine, hence the title numbers.

Cracking cars. Is there a rational reason to have the clio though, apart from style? You say the BM does everything twice as well, and I can believe it. Thought you were going to say "if it's raining etc - take the BM, if it's dry etc - take the BM"

not really to be honest, the Vee is my "ISA" so to speak, I don't plan on selling it but it depends on how circumstances pan out, we've been in this house nearly a year and could do with a new kitchen, work done on the garden etc and the money tied up in the Vee could take care of that nicely! But no plans to go down this route any time soon!

Love the Vee (except rear plate)

BMW, meh.

In fairness, you put a generic rep-wagon next to a pocket-exotic like the Vee, it's always going to come off worse....IMO

I was going to comment saying "Lucky b*****d" but I hate comments like that if I ever hear them myself.

So I'll go for a "Well played, chap :)"

As ever, still cant like the 1 Series. Just never liked the stying, although the arse does look pretty good!

The V6 however... my my, that is just perfection!
