** 121mpg from a dCi **

  Meg on pistonheads £6995

filled up yesterday and re-set trip

drove 5 miles on a busy but free flowing A road @ max 50 in top

mpg was stuck on 99.9mpg

average was 46mph

but miles to go read 1340

I know it it shows 770 to go @ 70mpg (and Ive managed 798), so assuming 11 gallons must have been doing

121mpg!

hmmm. I dont even get 21, let alone 121

swap you for the day wiv £10 of fuel each ;)

I might make 50 fun miles in the Vee, youd get 200 easy!

  Yaris Hybrid

I got 80mpg from a dci80 but that was over a wider range of roads and traffic conditions and a lot more miles. Was hard work and required a lot concentration so in the end I slacked off and it settled at 70mpg.

Getting 38mpg from the 182 driving as I did to get 70mpg from the dci. I could get over 40mpg if I tried I am sure.

  Renault Laguna Coupe

I got 41mpg out of my 172 on a run down to south wales. Very heavily loaded with trackday wheels etc too.

After getting realy bored I tried to max out 30mph in 5th on a long bit of road I got over 100mpg but exactly how much I didnt know my guess is 120~130 but that wasnt good for the car (wasnt my car).

I get bored driving and getting 80mpg end up going back to my 55~60mpg everywhere ways.

Id like to see if I could get better mpg with an 80dci I was originally going to get the 80 as it was the same price as my 65dci due to the extras I had added on.

Do you think your bigger tyres do anything to affect the MPG?

I never saw above 55 when I had an 80, although a lot of mine was commuting at slow speeds. Ive noticed my mpg goes up in the valver when I take it for a long drive, and plummets on the commute.
