13 wide wheels

  Mk2 V6, MK1 Track Sl#g

Has anyone tried putting 13" wide wheels on a 1.2, 1.4 mk 1 Clio before? I was just wondering what it was like on perormance. Im thinking of buying some for mine (195/50 R13)

13" diameter, he wrote that they were 195mm wide! i did it on my old steelies, bit more grip, makes it look like a 4x4 tho cus they r low profiles. standard are 165/65/13s or they were on mine. mite as well save up 4 alloys in my opinion?

what I meant was alloys, but u can buy super wide ones like what are on an old mini and old golfs. U can get them in 13" alloys and 6.5J wide. so just like a standard 15" alloy is 6.5J wide u can get a 13" x 6.5 J alloy. Was just wondering if anyone had done it to their Clio (Mk1 Phase 1)

i know a guy who put fcuking wide ass wheels on his lupo - going for the euro look

but i recon they would look rubbish on a clio + it will needlessly slow u down

(ps.if u get wide wheels and lower it they cant get wheel clamps on usually)

Tbh m8 i think ur just better going for 15s, if you get 195/45 15 then you dont have to mod that arches atall, all i had to do was take the mudflaps off (yes my car had em) and ur away, although i did notice that both the offside wheels wer about 1" further back in relation to the arcehs than the near side wheels. Odd.

Ive got 15" alloys now, was thinking of some smaller wheels to increase acceleration

not sure what litre it is, as its not mine. however the wheels are 8x14 front with 195/45 R 14 Conti Sport, Rear 9x14 with 215/40 R 14 Conti Sport, 40mm drop on coil overs.
