15" Alloys and 195 tyres?

  1.6 16v
My 15's have got 185/55/R15 tyres on at the moment and i was wondering if the 195/55/R15's would fit on without any rubbing?

Cheers Steve

You tend to have 195/50s not 195/55s, i've got them on my 15x7j superturismos and they slighty catch the arch liner at the back but other than that there fine -40mm(ish) too.

There a damn sight cheaper than 185/55s as well.

Thats great mate thank you. I was not sure whether they would fit or not so just thought i would check.

Wheres the best / cheepest place to buy some??

  ST on the way...
I've got 195/50/15 on std suspension and they do rub slightly on the rear arch liner on the pass side.

195/50/15 is cheaper.

What alloys do you have?

Don't get 195/45/15 as this will seriously limit your top speed. Mine is already limited by the rev limiter and I only have 195/45/15.

Ive just put 195/50/15 Toyo T1-R on my dynamique and not sign of any rubbing at all. They feel alot better than the 185/55 Firrestones I had aswell, and £15 a tyre cheaper

Only problem i came across was tyre dealers wouldnt sell me 195/50/15's and fit them, said they wouldnt fit, too big for a small car and blah blah blah, so i bought some off mytyres.co.uk and got a mate to fit them for me.

195/50/15 will catch on the rear wheel with hard driving and time.
Its nothing that serous theres a rear bolt you need to check realy and cut it down which holds the rear archliner in place but its not that bad I didn't for ages on mine and it just rubbed itself away then again that not safe as it can damage tyres.
