15" Alloys

Is there anything i have to do to make 15"s fit onto a mk1? because mine rub on the inner arches on front and back. Need a different profile or width?

What offset are you looking at?

i have some 15 inch on the front of my 1.2 mk1 and they fit fine... what tires do you have on them? i have 195/50 r15's

Im not shure with the offset, there off a mk2 golf originaly, so ill have a look, but the tyres are exactly that, 195/50 R15's, so im guessing it aint that

have you lowered your car atall? because mine is completly standard except for the alloys. bringing up another question how far can i lower mine without it rubbing! the other option is to look at the internal plastic arch guard and check that it is fixed in place correctly.

Its not lower at all either, im in the middle of refurbing the wheels now so ill try them again some other time.

You could probably use 185/55/15 tyres instead?

if they're off a golf prob the wrong offsets. It should be stamped on the wheel somewhere i think, or at least it was on my old Volk's did

it probably is the offset thats wrong, what do i nee then? spacers?

i have 185/55/15 tyres plus its lowered 60mm, did rub loads at the rear until i removed the arch liners and hammer back parts of the arches
