15 month old spax spring

After posting a quick question in the techinal section. I have just gone out and dropped on a spax spring at where I use to work. I have just fitted it as the old spring is totally shot. Here's the evidence:

these were the thoughts going through my head, glad its fixed now, fingercrossed it aint damaged the damper

My friend works at the place I bought the kit from and he says he is going to tell them bout this and also took a pic. I am just worried if it may have knacked the damper but there are no signs of that as far as I can see
 
i doubt the damper is damaged tbh, would iether be bent or leaking, its unlikely to bend and i assume isnt leaking so should be fine
