16v air filter

  clio williams, Ph1 172

Im wanting an air filter that will fit on my 16v. Not a K and N as thats what i had before. Should be having some hose made up to fit. Does anyone make a filter that is round with a big bore size that I can use for my car.

I am thinking of moving the battery into the boot so I can have a daddy of a filter as itll give me some more space. Anyone done this??

If anyone has any ideas i;d be grateful.

Expensive to relocate battery i would have thought, new wiring and box.

What good is a daddy of a filter if it wont go on your throttle body. If you dont buy one made to fit the 16v then you have to make ur own adapter to fit it onto throttle body.

My PiperX is good with a home-made heat shield.

Not that difficult to do really. I have had a throttle body plate made up anyway.

Moving the battery aint that hard too. Just a case of running a battery wire from the front to the boot. My mate did it in his fiesta easy enough.

I say that cause when looking at BB Tunings Turbo conversion for the 16v, the price includes over bloody £90 to relocate battery i think!

Well ill let everyone know how it goes if I do do it. £90 aint bad really anyway is it. Probably a couple of hours job. They probably charge about £40 an hour at least anyway.
