16v Classic Insurance

  The Jinx

Would a 10yr old Valver be eligible for classic car insurance? Most places state that as the requirements to qualify AFAIK.

10 year rule seems to be the norm on modern classics but age alone does not constitute a classic. Varies by insurer so youll need to do some calling around, I suspect however that GTTs & Williams (and similar) may be covered as modern classics, other more mainstream Renos wont be.

Done a brief search and some specify over £10k only, others that list the mk1 5s dont include Gordini turbos for some bizarre reason. 1981 also seemed like a cut off year.

I do agree though, that Willys may be covered by some, but sadly no the valver. One advantage of classic insurance is that it can be cheaper and they cover m-sport usage as well.

Arse.
