16v Insurance

I need to sort out my insurance today for next week when it runs out.

Anyone suggest some online sites and some good cheap companies.

I will be 20, 2yrs NCB, Pass Plus (dont know if that will still count), low crime location. Car is 95M 16v, with Clifford Concept 300, TPTF.

What are other people paying?

Adrian Flux sent me my renewal and quoted me £903 which seemed a bit high! Have seen others who are 20 getting quotes for less than £800!

Thanks for any help,

Tom

Tom_16v give performance direct a shout mate, im 24, 1Yr NCB, been driving only a Yr, TPFT £538

Standard Alarm/Immob. I didnt tell them bout the alloys as i dont care if they get nicked! Good excuse to buy some more i like!!

Beat Adrian Flux and others by over £100.00!

They first off told me a quote of £591.80 and i said sorry i had a better quote from Tescos of £565.00, he said give me ten and i will call you back, he called back 5 mins later and said they had wavered there 10% commission and quoted me £538:D Very nice helpful guy, he even went out of his way to get me a decent quote! Not like most Companies!

Adrian flux sorted me out £735. 20 with 2 year NCB, CAT2, Pass plus.

Renewals are always dodgy though!

Cheers mate, I think the best thing to do is phone them and tell them about your quote.

I dont see how they can quote me almost £200 more and I have a CAT1!

fao smokey, when you lie on your insurance, theres no point having it in the first place, if your car is nicked then damaged then recovered with the wheels intact, the insurance could say that the car was only nicked because the alloys made it more nickable, if you didnt tell them about it, they will tell you to get lost!!!!!, sensible advice, change the wheels, or ring them up, tell them youve put some alloys on, does it make any difference, chances are it might not. if it does though it will be a lot less than losing the car full stop.....

how much should ya tell the insurance company thou?

New stereo, amp, 4 New speakers, 2 10" subs, new mats, new steering wheel, new willy carpet (not long now), clear side repeaters, phase 2 rear lights, morettes, bee sting aerial, hopefully willy seatbelts, locking valve caps, gear knob, gaiter, handbrake, white dials!

Mr insurance is gonna have a field day!

Id say feck me it had steelys when i put it to bed last night!

Also depends on your area as well, but £200 is alot! I think its cuz they think they already have your business and think that you wont shop around for your renewal

Thats really very good, being fully comp! Ill bear that in mind for next year. ;)

Try adding your mum as a named driver - it dropped my fully comp Williams insurance down from £950 to £750 with Admiral (1 year NCB and Im 23).

I was pleasantly bemused!

I pay 1350 from Flux, 23 with 2yrs NCB was over 200 quid cheaper than any other quote I got. Mods Ive done put it up to 1475 now though!

For f**ks sake. Im still trying to sort it out.

Adrian Flux have gone down a whooping 20 quid to £883, but say they cant go lower! wtf?

Everyone else has been around £900-£1K (well, the ones that would quote me!)

Ive got one hope left when I phone Phil at HIC tomorrow morning, see what he can do.
