16v ISCV and poor fuel consumption

Would a knackered ISCV cause poor fuel consumption on a valver?

If not, any ideas what could?

not really no

when was it last serviced ?

plugs, air filter, dizzi cap, rotor arm etc

fuel filter is one everyone forgets about and is quite easy to change (if i can do it anyone can)

how would the spark plugs affect the fuel consumption ?

if they are not in very good condition then the mixture wont combust properly because of a poor spark

Serviced a couple of weeks ago.

Yeah, I do have, but no heavier than 6 months ago when I was using less fuel.

coolant temp sensor? if these go then they can cause idle problems aswell as high fuel consumption,

Replaced that.

Im starting to wonder if it was faulty.

i dont know if it can affect fuelling, but, the TDC sensor is very easy to replace and is a common fault

also the air temp sensor on the inlet manifold, be careful not to damage the pipe thats next to it
