16v V Jreg TVR up to 100

  ExigeV6|Q5|DS3|Fiat

Coming off rounderbout a converible racing green Jreg TVR behind me and werre both doing 30mph, he smiled at me to move over, so i did and with it a foot full of 16v gas, at this point i was surprised as he didnt level with me untill about 70 where he stayed level with me till 100, we then had to slow down due to traffic.

Now this guy was really friendly and he gave an early wave, so i thought game on! Coming off the next rounderbout he floors it i floor it and i sh*t you not there wasnt much noticable difference up to 90/100 i swear it! The guy then waved again as he turned off thus followed a triple hoot from me.

Now i am realsitic about car performance and i wouldnt have thought my motor would have stayed so close to the TVR and was fairly surprised however my engine seems to be roaring these days and those 0-60 & 0-100 times recorded the other day maybe more accurate than first thought.

Anyone know the specs on these things? I rekon they must do 0-60 in 6.0/6.5 or something similar?

For information purposes it was a Jreg rounded rear end convertable TVR, i didnt notice any other badges.

lol.

Well maybe he wasnt caining it then?.....thing is the car looked like it was being driven hard, maybe not then?

Is there a slow Jreg TVR that was made that would be 0-60 in about 6secs?

Right i have done some research! Apparently there is a TVR with faster but similar 0-60 times. This is called the TVR s. It was a 2.8 V6 version weighing 100-200kg more than the 16v certainly not slow but that would explain this sort of smililar sprint to 100.

Anyone know any more about this car?

Yeah and.. I cained a 325i BMW to 100 yesterday, big engines dont mean fast 0-100 times, after 100 fair enough.

325 bimmers aint that rapid either.

I had a 635 and it wasnt particularly quick, had shagging room though and plenty of it. In tastefull gold body work.

Ahh well that explains it then! I thought it wasnt that quick for a TVR, i was expected to get wasted! Instead it was pretty evenly matched up to 100.:D
