Although doubt the +10bhp claim as it cant be the same for all models, 1.2s 1.6s 1.8s and 2.0s. Hopefully someone will get one fitted and see what it can do.

Would be handy if someone could get before/after bhp figures when fitting things on their motor as that way people would know what works. Especially as the RR results would be from the same RR on the same day so there would be little room for error.

Wonder if PGti would be interested in doing this as I am sure a lot of readers would benefit.

doesnt say 1.8 16v though and williams isnt listed either

id say your guaranteed a small gain as there is a lot of heat in a valvers engine bay its not so bad in the cold wether but you notice a power drop in summer

Oops your right. In my haste I thought that the ad had changed. Maybe it is the KTEC catalogue that I got posted saying available feb/march and because that wasnt appearing on the web I got mixed up.

Im sure the cat says it though so they must be getting it soon. Some1 must be sorting out the clio without people having to fab up their own adaptors.

ill have to have a look in the catalogue, there just doesnt look enough room for the viper though in the 16v engine bay the inlet needs to be in the side really

I am going to attempt to get a cool air intake and box/shroud made up from stainless, i have recently brought a K&N for the experiment and i went to the RR day at BB, so i know how much power i have at the mo, lets see if i get a gain or a drop. I will post some thing about this in the future, but i have a MOT coming up and that has to be dealt with first.

If my BMC fits then so will a Viper but silicone hose with approx 90 degree bend is required.

Why not try one of the relocation kits from K-Tec along with one of Pipercross induction kits? I fitted mine last saturday, and although I cant quote you any figures, I could tell the difference straight away, pulls much better, more torque, and a great induction roar above about 2500rpm. Looks the b****cks too! Check it out @ www.k-tecracing.com , in the Clio 2 section. Ive heard they are releasing kits for mk1s too Matt.

Whats the gain of a normal induction kit, eg..... by a normal K+N induction kit?.

Pipercross quote minimum of 9bhp increase across any car. There quoted range for the viper is 9 - 13 therefore for a 1.2 hope for 9 for a 172 hope for 13,

This is just what they say if anyone can back this up before I buy one would be much appreciated

anyone ever thought of fitting a 19 16V pipe and having the filter fitted to that? the K and N doesnt fit onto the throttle body on them. that would give a bend wouldnt it? Ill have a try and see if it hel[s cos my mate has one.
