16v & Willams Clocks

Im looking into fitting these into the RSi as i got told it can be done. however by the looks of this i require the whole top end of the dash to make it work.

are the wires around or are they needed aswell?
Also are the dial colours blue as there from a williams clio?

u need the 16v dash top to make it fit and look good.

On my RSi there is a plug already there for it mate,

Its a big blue connector it just plugs straight in, but for some reason the clocks didnt work on mine...and it messed up the little led oil gauge where the speedo an rev counter are?

It may not work cos I dont think the RSI engine will come with the relevent senders....oil pressure ect

Yes thats what i thought it has the wiring, but no sensors?

On some of the later RSi's the clocks are standard i think?

Some Rsi's have the sensors, some don't.
I can do you a top dash and the cradle you need to mount the dials in.
The dials you have are from a phase 1 16v and not a williams.

Is this the blue connector which is used on the 16v Gauges?

the quality isnt amazing but it was hiding under some tape just above some of the loom wiring and wasnt connected to anything!

i have a brand new set of blue lockwood dials for a clio 16 v including oil gauges if ur intrested?

hi mate, i have the dials on my RSi, the oil guage works, and the backlight works too but the other 2 guages do not as the sensors are not on the engine, however as said above, it does ruin the oil guage on the rsi dash and doesn't give the most accurate reading of oil on mine sometimes!!!

Just a question, where can i get a 16v dashboard calibrated to the pspeedo cable as i am thinking of getting one for the temp sensor?

i found an oil sensor on ebay!

would that show the presure?

also the current oil amount gauge (between the rev counter & speedo) does this act as anything else as when ignition is on it shows the amount of oil (i think) and when the engine is started the gauge goes off and doesnt move?

thats right, once the engine is starte the guage is inoperative, and is completely inoperative when you change the dials!!!

The oil guage on the 16v dials will do exactly the same as he existing one!!
As for the ebay item, i suppose it is, wouldnt be able to tell you how to fit it to an RSi engine tho, but if you get any joy, can you let me know!!!

so on the 16v clio's the dials just has a non working gauge because it has 3 seperate oil gauges!

seems strange but what can you expect from the french, lol

no, the16v oil guage works before engine start, but the rsi one then does not work on the speedo dash!
