16Valvers & Oil Pressure

Just wondering what everyone elses 16v runs on oil pressure, cause i know that its surpossed to rest at 2bar when engine is at idle, but mine is usually between 0 and 1 at idle throttle. It rises with revs fine but is often between 1 and 2bar when normal driving. OTHER 16V OWNERS PLEASE MAKE A NOTE OF UR PRESSURE & POST BACK, CHEERS. Any soultions, go for it. Mines a 95 N plate with 70k miles, maybe just an oil engine flush?

when properly warmed up pressure is pretty much 0 when at idle!

Cheers, just a little worried cause my mate had to replace all his tapets when the oil in his 16V wasnt getting to them. Ouch! But if your sayin they all have low oil pressure then everythin should be honkery dory.

yea its high to start when cold but a low pressure at idleing when warm is normal!

just keep an eye on your oil level on start up and make sure it is topped up!!

If i was you mate id get under the bonnet and check now and then dont trust anything!!

As long as when warm it is still registering on guage. Mine done 85k and will be almost of the guage when cold, but 1-2 when warm, if that helps you.
