17"s on a 172

looking at a 172, its has, nice as they are, 27"s with 205/45R17 tyres on it.

leave as, or change em back to 16"s with 195/45R16 standard,

Depends what they are IMO, 17 inch Turinis with a big drop looks lovely. Will handle better on the 16s though.

Stozza's 172 with 17" Turinis and Apex springs looks good.

I would go with 16 inch alloys myself. I used to have a set of 17" wheels on it but I personally felt that the ride was a little more rough and seemed to handle differently.

handle *ok* with 16's, 17s it will handle like a spazzy on an ice rink. 15s are the way forward

the diameter is spot on.

17s always work out bigger, no matter how much the tyre aspec seem to match up.

as said, 17s on a clio just doesnt go, looks far too high, and the wheels are too heavy.

get the standard 16s

I had 17s on mine for a bit. Made it a mess tbh. Was also using apex springs and toyo rubber!
