172 / 172cup exhaust system

Ok my exhaust needs replaced from cat back.... Reno won't touch it on warranty.

What are your thoughts on replacing this? Should i get Reno to do it for 500quid... or buy an aftermarket one? If so what one?

Also... i need a new back box exhaust mount (entire mounting plate)... how much are these, and where can i get one? Will this come with an aftermarket exhaust?

back box mount is about £20 from renault

go aftermarket, but be careful as you get what you pay for generally

you could get a catback s/s one for half that!

i thought the mount would be much more expensive than that. Its a bloomin massive cast iron block with a rubber insert lol... dunno what made them design it like that

i'm eventually gonna get a decat pipe anywho

just taken my Ktec off and gone back to standard and it wasnt 500 notes gen renault one too on my Ph1

what made you go back to STD mate? Did you get reno to do it though?

My quote was for a new back box, new centre section, and new mounting bracket.

sheer resonance through the car - too boomy drove me nuts, tried different back box 2 but no difference, went to standard and its bliss, was done at Rentech as only 8 miles from me centre section and rear box, ill never go aftremarket again !

save yourself some cash and do this, £1.20 for the bush from halfords and a few zip-ties.

i got a powerflow custom jobbie on my cup, nice and quite with cat on and quite loud with bypass on, just the job!!!
