172 Alloy problem

hello all, can anyone answer this question for me please. Does anyone know the offset for the renault clio 172 (new shape) wheels please??

i thought the offset was 36mm

You might be able to with a spacer but I dont know? I think the offset on the MK2 172 is 38mm but I have 40mm wheels on mine and have no problems. Suppose that is only a 2mm difference though.

um...take off your wheels an look at the number stamped inside it.....

they will fit lower clios no prob....but only the post 98 ones. not the old ones.

old renaults had ET 36.

higher offset means the wheels will be further into the arches i think, so ud need a 10mm ish spacer and longer bolts
