172 Alloy Winter Tyre Size?

At the moment I'm purchasing a full set of 172 Alloys to use as winter wheels but have noticed that there is only a few winters in 45 aspect ratio, 50 on the other hand has some well known ones that I'd be after so would a 50 aspect ratio effect anything?

Not an expert, but the 50's will be wider than the 45's. It will depend on how they fit on the rims, but I guess this could effect the handling due to not fitting as tightly. Sure someone will correct me on that!
