172 bumper on a mk2 ph1?

basically I think my standard non-sport mk2 ph1 bumper looks w*nk so I was wondering if a 172 bumper would fit?

There is some on here but i think its mainly 172 phase 1's tho

It should fit fine.

well a standard ph2 fits so as you say a ph2 172 'should'...
might just have to buy one and find out the hard way, cheers mate

Rear bumper - yes but you'll need the archliners
Front bumper - yes but you need the 172 Wings + preferably 172 skirts. and of course, the arch liners.

It's the cost of having it all painted that's off-putting for me. It might only cost maybe <200 for all the panels, but it'd be several hundred to have them all painted. and that's the killer
Thanks for the comments! I plan on getting at least a 172 ph2 rear bumper and if I can wrangle it - a Cup spoiler maybe in the next 6+ months. I would love to get myself the sport interior too. I'd pretty much be better off just buying a sport - but this one's still alive and runs well. Less to tax, feed and insure too!

same basically! I got a family friend who could paint it but its just sourcing the paint for it. I'm looking to get a sport interior as well, they just look a million times better and would be so much better to actually sit in too! but again, its the cost preventing me

The link I sent you. The guy had a ph2 172 rear bumper with the ph2 lights that he had fitted to a ph1 172.
The shell is basically the same at the back as yours.

You can also run the bumper without the arch liners but if you want the arch liners then I have set that I can sell you.

yeeah true, I won't be doing it anytime soon I don't think I just wanted to know whether or not it could actually happen. If/ when the time comes to doing it then i'll get at you about those
