172 Cambelt change

Hi all, I need to get my belt replaced 'cos it's coming up to 5 years old now, anyone know of a good independant garage in the South Wales area, just been on the fone to my local renault dealer, quoted me £387.50 to replace the belt kit and water pump ! The garage I've always used can't do it 'cos they don't have the 2 timing tools, and as I'm the first to take a 172 into him, he can't justify the cost of buying them, to rarely use them.

387.50 isn't bad, its quite a long job (around 8 hours IIRC)

Oh God, her indoors is going to gut me if all the bills are as big as this one, she thinks I should have bought a nice steady diesel..........

The dci's cost almost as much to have the belts changed and they have the same intervals (5yrs/72k)
