172 cup brake compensator rod

i ordered one off a 172 and its completly wrong and i cant find a second hand one anywhere for a cup. a new one is 88 quid off my local renault garage but im tight and its just a rod about 6 inch so ive been told. the 172 is done electricly but not on the cup guess it is too heavy anyway my question is will a rod off any of the lower clio range fit my cup

Can you get a picture of the part Ive no idea what bit your on about.

J3ned should be able to get you any part cheaper than Renault will sell them.

Weve been through this before... do a search...

The Cup is NOT meant to have the brake bias valve, the braking setup is different and it should not be connected up, I looked into this when I had my Cup and even saw the Renault tech bulletin with my own eyes stating this!

Its a spring thats fitted to the 172, not a bar, but is not meant to be fitted to the non ABS Cup, do not mess with this as you could end up affecting the braking and causing an accident!

phew!! Just had my magnex checked to keep the guarentee in order and the mechanic said, your car is missing a rod that links the brake bias valve and the bar pictured above. I was just about to go into renault this week to get it sorted!!! thanks for saving me the trouble. The pints are on me!
