172 cup de-cat pipe installed

Car  172 cup turbo
hi guys,

i installed a home made de-cat pipe on my 172 cup yesterday. I was wondering whether anyone else has done this and what differences they noticed. From what i can tell it feels slower for some reason :-/ the usual flat spot where it accelerates quicker at around 4000 rpm has gone. its smoother through the rev range but just feels slower.

any thoughts??

thanks

If it's smoothed out the flat spot, the the 5k kick is maybe not as noticeable, leading you to think it feels slower when it's actually not.

this was my thinking. only way i could possibly tell is by going up against my mates rx-8 which i usually off stand still end up about 2 car lengths in front :-)
