Hello all,

First post in the detailing section.

Gained quite a bit of knowledge with detailing over the past few years and I began on the Clio last week and again today. Purchased the car a fornight ago.

Exterior was pre-washed/ foamed with the Autobrite foam lance and Autobrite Magifoam. The badges and trim was agitated with a detailing brush. Car was then clayed with Meguiars medium clay and quick detailer. It was then rinsed, hand washed and then snow foamed again.

Polished with a two stage Menzerna compound, firstly SP4000 followed by a finer SP2500. After wiping the car down with IPA to remove any residue, it was given a coat of Dodo Red Mist and then two coats of Victoria Red Concourse Wax.

The picture below is not from this but a quick wash I did today.

Engine bay was just tidied up, to remove the grime. Today I sprayed the block, ECU cover and brace black, and the inlet silver, along with the lifting points.

Enough talk, here's a pic..



Looking to spray/ replace the fabric heat shield on the firewall next..

Thanks, it was a pretty tidy example when I bought it but I'm pretty particular when it comes to this sort of thing. Put in about 15 hours on the bodywork and engine bay clean up.

Excuse the exhaust, I'll be replacing it with a K-Tec stealth system at some point

This is my old car, absolutely stunning example, was just getting abit old and I had the itch for a new car. Sold it to the guy who did the engine work so its gone to a good home..chap called Sandy Brown

No idea unfortunately, it's an SS cat back. It's not that loud but I prefer a raspier and with a smaller exit, hence a KTec of some kind.

The Pug was incredible, would have easily kept it of finance permitted.

Bwaaaaarp, such a distinctive noise, always turned heads. Shift light fitted to the dashboard too!
