172 cup dropping

i want to lower the suspension on my 172 cup. anyone have advice on products/manufacturers etc to do this?

Back box exhausts too. Any advive welcome. cheers now, molly

hello molly...i just got some spax springs for mine and they lower the car by around 25mm. I understand that these are some of the better spirngs on the market but more importantly i think is they do not lower the car too much so it scrapes everwhere!!! if you just wanting a bax box i think magnex would be good one as they only kick in quite loud at 4,000rpm so you dont need ear plugs..hope this helps!!!

Coilovers are the best but depends how much you want to spend.

spax springs approx 25mm drop

ebiach springs approx 20mm drop

apex springs approx 40mm drop

if you want a large drop then get the apex springs. if you want only a slight drop but much improved handling go for the ebiach springs.

I paid just over £330 for it, but was thinking of selling it for £170. Ive just had a PM off a friend, so if hes interested Ill give him first refusal.

Its a cat back system so more than just the back box.

Everyone on here who has gone with Eibachs have been extremely happy with them.

i think you would notice a 30mm drop..the cups are only 3mm lower than a normal 172 but in my opinion you can tell..so 20mm would be a good one to go!!!

Tom, r you running on stk shocks with the Apex springs? Hows the ride and handling with the uprated springs? Btw, r ya wheels 15" or 16"?

yep standard shocks..... the ride is a lot better, not that much firmer at all, just right!
