172 Cup ESP light, speed sensor fault.

Hi,

Not sure if anyone can help.

Ive recently replaced the UCH and ECU etc (from another 172 cup), due to a driver window issue, and all working fine expect i now have the ESP light on.

The only fault code showing is a speed sensor fault. Could the mechanical speed sensor on the 172 cup be linked to the ESP light ? Or is there another type of speed sensor that a 172 cup could have come with, which is causing a conflict with my car? Obviously none have abs etc, so no magnetic pickups etc... to worry about, but as this ecu came from a 172 cup, i don't understand how i'm getting a ESP light ?

Siily question are you sure the new ecu came off a 172 cup? Is there a chance it came off a 182 cup?
Like you said 172 cups don't have abs esp like the 182 have.
