172 Cup gearbox code

Tried using search but it comes up with every thread with cup or gearbox or code which is f'n useless tbh!

just JC5 afaik mate

JC5 is just the gearbox model, the latter 3 numbers signify which specific model it is. Same for the engines, for example the 1*2 and the meggy both use F4R lumps just the F4R-736 is the clio n/a version and the F4R-774 is the 225bhp turbo version.

And i'm sure its a 129 as thats the one with the speedo drive on it.

I thought the Ph1 was the 129 as that was what I orignally had on the invoice when I bought it and was told it was. I then looked at the one I got and it was a JC5-130 with a date on it from 05/2003. He assured me this was right and looked like it had the speedo cable drive on it (little square hole?)

Any ideas?
