Hello, this is the BF of 182CHICK, and I need some info.
Currently driving a Ford Racing Puma, which, is the best FWD on mother Earth. However, I used to drive a 182 FF (technically the Mrs one, but I bullied her into submission), and my god was that fun.
I drove my buddies 172 yesterday over the welsh mountains, and it rekindled my love for the fast Clios.
To the point then - how easy is it to attain 200bhp, and for arguments sake 160-170lb/ft, from the 172s engine. (Im not clued up on these engines, are they called an F4 or something?)
Im after a fun car, so I can keep the FRP in good nick, and hold if not increase its future value.
The 172 Cup is a good starting point, because theyre pretty free from unnecessaries already (A/C, TC, posh seats etc). Only downside I find with them, is the gear change. The IB5 on the FRP is sublime, and I used to find the Clio crunchy - what can be done about this?
The RS Clios are so much fun, I was hammering death out of his 172 yesterday, and it felt amazing. So much fun. The tail was dancing under hard braking, using it to aid the front's turn in. Then, I had that torque, power and lightness to rocket me out of that corner into the next. "Fun" sums up these cars!
Thanks
