172 cup seat change

  Trophy #392
Hi I have just bought some half leather seats from the ff 172 to replace the seats that come with the cup, and have fixed um in the car but the block connector that comes from the car has been cut so Ive only got wires, but the block connectors under the seats are still there would i have to cut the connector and solder the wires together? If so does anyone no which wires go to which?:S

Would love some help thanks in advance people ;)

You could always go to a scrappy and cut the connectors off another Clio, then solder them onto the wires.

I fitted sport seats into my non sport, and wired them up, however as my old non sport seats had no airbags in them, but the sports ones do, my airbag light is still on.
So I'd imagine this would be the same in your cup.

Iirc the cup doesn't have side airbags, so there's no point in connecting the wires?

Thanks for the replies yh don't have airbags but I fort some of the wires are to do with the pretensioner aswel?

cups dont have side airbags but do have pre-tensioners. Cut the block off the seat and use an electrical block connector to join then.

By electrical block I mean the ones where you put wires in the hole and tighten down with a screw

Why didn't you just buy a FF to start with, you've just added weight to a cup!

Cause the cup seats are rubbish & it's hardly a massive difference in weight. I've done the same & prefer the seats so much more on longer trips.

Exactly there is hardly any weight difference and the 'ff' ones look 10x better.

So you're cup didn't have the pretensioners connected? Did you cut the wire?
I had previously cut the block connector because I had the serv airbag light fault, I tried eliminating the block connectors to see if this would fix the light proble
But still didn't lol

there aint actually any noticeable weight between um i realised this when i put them in, the feel and look and luxury is a compimise for the little bit extra weight lol was u at the meet yday? with sumin cup as ya reg?
