172 Cup strut brace

In process of fitting frt brace,do i have too drop struts too line bolts for brace,or is there an easier way.advice needed.

You'll have to drop the struts to put the bolts in unless your using self tappers.

Just drop them from top mounts??

undo the top nut that you can see under the bonnet.

it will still be tight tho!!

i would just remove it all together mate its only 2 more bolts (ok maybe a bit more than that but still worth it to get it right)

Just tried too undo the top nut(its f$$cking tight)seemed too twist struts.think ill leave it till tomorrow.

you need to secure the strut insert with an allen key while undoing with a ring spanner, it won't twist the strut then
