172 Cup to 197/R27?

  Nimbus 197
you won't look back, they are a huge leap in terms of build quality and imho handle MUCH better (I know this starts arguements, but that's why I put imho)

Thanks for all replies .... Dave, I got offered 3.6k px for the cup!

One im looking at is GW 08 11k on clock 197 cup no aircon no recaros, i think id like both of these options but the car is priced at 10,999 what do we think? Think its a little pricey might be worth holding out for one with recaros and manual aircon cup or an R27 with cup chassis

R27 has the cup chassis, its the first 197 that came with it :)

I have one as mentioned and its a step up in everyway. Recaros....... look good, but you actually sit lower in the standard seats (i had standrad seats, then sourced some Recaros for mine) and the standard onesare 100% better than the 172 ones, very supportive. AC is what i'd want. I'd love a GW, but think i'll hang on to mine, and be ready for a new MK4 RS in a few yrs time :)

Anyone done this, a 197 cup caught my eye when I drove past the dealers in GW, My cup is nice and quick, yet to test drive the 197 cup.
I think the one to have would be like this one:

Not sure whether its worth the jump, any thoughts?

I went from a Silver 172 Cup (77k miles) to a Silver 172 Sport (60k miles) and then a Nimbus R27 (30k so far).

My advice is listen to the opinions of people that have actually owned the two cars you've mentioned.

If you do that it's a no brainer.
