172 Cup Track rod ends

Hello all,

First post so be gentle

I've got play in the drivers side track rod end so I'm wanting to replace it.

After some searching on here I understand there's more than one type of steering rack fitted to clios, smi and trw? How do I work out which one I have so I can order the right part?

chances are it is SMI, think I can supply them for around £40 if thats any use

they're all SMI

about £15 each from GSF etc, track rod ends are all the same, however trackrod (tie rod) is cup specific

I ordered a pair from Wests on here and they came extremely fast and were perfect!

We fit after Market balljoints on out HGVs and they don't last 5mins that's why I went genuine!

Quite easy to change if doing yourself

Depends which aftermarket ones you use. My Lemförder balljoints last longer on coilovers than the original Renault ones without coilovers....

Yeah true! Is that who make the Renault ones?
What about bottom balljoints Fred? As I don't really want to replace the whole wishbone!

i use TRW and febi bilstein mainly, lemonwotsit sometimes too, all OE suplliers

Eurocarparts should have the Lemförder ones which are OE. 12mm bolt holes are the ones you need.
