The thing it always comes down to though. Is when your talking 1-2secs difference 0-60, then a good driver that can do that in the supposedly slower car is going to beat someone in the faster car that is a few seconds slower. A few seconds is nothing in the real world, and a poor driver will ose that advantage very quickly.
