I've done more miles than you in 3 days and my car is not filthy, Get her cleaned! Love that it's even a Clio on the right as well. I park in there every now and again when going to the cinema etc. The 172 isn't mine though. Glad to see Ashot repping on Spotted :)
 
When 20 miles in every 50 is back roads, that tractors frequent, that's what happens
she is cleaner now and sitting pretty parked up till Xmas day now. I'll keep an eye out for you as I'm round there a fair bit.

Do you go past the Renault dealership a bit? Twice I've been there and spotted a clean silver 182 drive past.
 
I live in Ash so I do go past there quite often. I've only actually stopped in to the dealership once though, when they quoted me 2.5k to replace the clutch. I haven't been back since! :D

You don't happen to park around the back of Asda in Fboro do you? That's the only place I've seen a 197 around Fboro town so far.
 
No I live round the new build by barons, the 197 is my first renault sport but there is another albi 197 local that drives around.
Yeah Pete I regularly park around asda.

they can be pricey but I get my parts from there and they aren't too bad and they serviced my car for a reasonable price so it's there quite often lately.
 
My last part purchase was from Garlands Skoda around the corner from the Renault garage... The last time I was parked out the back of Asda I came off the raised kerb abit too quick in reverse and took off my front bumper... Lucky for me the bumper kicked back in but the splitter was a goner :( Long story short on the parts front, Renault splitter = over £100. Skoda splitter (Fabia one fits the 182) = £13.00.

I guess for servicing and stuff it's definitely worth using the dealership though... and they do seem a decent bunch in there. My car is definitely due to be booked in!

I think my avatar pic was taken just around the corner from where you are... over by the old hanger frame next to the airfield?

I've worked at the Airport... twice... including access to drive all over it and I don't know where the wind tunnels are! But here's the frame in big. it's just along one of the backroads behind the Aviator.

I'll be in Farnborough for abit tomorrow morning and again late afternoon / evening, i'll keep an eye out for the blue 197 ;)
 
Yeah I know exactly where you mean now.
The wind tunnels are over by barons. Not quite on the airport but right next to it.

Will do sparky... I've seen loads of 182's / 172's around Alexandra Road in Farnborough... seems to be a magnet lol. Seems pretty rare seeing silver ones though. I spontaneously ordered some orange badge wrap last night so I may have orange badges come the weekend... just trying to decide whether it's too chavy or not but will make the car more distinguishable anyway!

Yeh the Airport has some awesome locations. Shame I don't have a pass anymore... It'd be awesome to get some pics next to some of the Fboro Airshow planes. Especially the Vulcan... I had a few pics of my old 206 next to that which I've misplaced :( and next to the Airbus A380. I also got a picture of my 206 with one of the big tanks from the Army museum aiming at it... went there one day when two guys were refurbing the tank and they were awesome, drove the tank onto the car park and aimed at the car and let me sit in the hatch to take some pics :D Just been searching trying to find the pics... sure I'll find them somewhere and will upload. Fboro / Ashot both have some great locations if you get abit creative :)

Didn't see any Clio Sports the other day... I ended up using the car wash place on Fboro Road though in the morning. £15 for a mini valet wash... actually wasn't half bad.. awesome job for the price especially considering my car was pretty splattered. Would recommend if you're feeling lazy!
 
ok Sparky I'll keep a look out when around Fboro :) Are you studying nearby then? I associate that road with the tech college / uni and students. Years back in student days /pre uni that area was abit of a hub for me, Many a happy / sloshed memory!
 
I did but years back when Airshows were on and needed temporary funds to top up student misdemeanour funds. Back then the car looked like this... Check out my contemporary lowering methods. Height adjustable, although the car did feel a little bit bogged down... literally

Couzens... shame your car is off the road now... Just been looking at your project thread. The car looks absolutely stunning, I wish I could justify the spend on one. I've seen two other V6's nearby, both near Woking. I know one was definitely silver... I don't remember the other. I posted spotted threads for each a while ago but got no reply.
 
I'm forever round the airport and tech college but I drive at weird times being a shift worker.
if anyone's ever spotted a blue 197 sat outside the natwest/tanning place and Brenda's on Alexandra road that'll be mine. It spent a fair amount of time there too :)

I've seen loads of sports around so must have spotted a few of you at least. Give me a beep/flash if you come across the car.
 
Well mines distinctive.
it has purple diamonds front and rear, purple pillars and purple rs door bullets.
also has a black roof (sunroof) :p
