172 CV boots, talk to me

So my drivers side inner boot has shat itself so i went and bought a new boot, went to get it fitted today and it would appear that i would need to replace the whole shaft as the current boot goes into the shaft.

Ive had a quick look on here but im a bit confused now, apparently some are different sizes etc etc and some can be changed?

Can someone tell me exactly what i need? And what sort of money am i looking at?
